Duck Tales, good times... good times.
Well done, I like this.
Hehe :) Thank you all for your comments, I'd like to play all my mockup too… But there would be a lot of trials for intellectual property against me :)
I'd soooo frikken play this game... damn April fools jokes....
He is just a poor man who wants some power in life.
I don't see any problem with a zoomed in preview? Many people, including mods, do it, so what's the problem here?
Anyway, fantastic work! Small but expressive!
@Antiboton: You admit your 1rst reason is not legitimate. The 3rd doesn't count because you can always edit your submissions. And for the 2nd, it's just a point of view, lots of "retro" games running on HD screens are using upscaling…
I'm totally agree for the x1 scale on the detailed file, it IS the piece of pixelart, and a zooming option is available. But the preview is just a preview, no zooming option on the homepage. upscaling on the preview is not a bad exemple, just a little freedom (and always a pixelart).
You're totally right. But ther are some big differences about it:
1. Mine is less scaled that your prev art. Mine is 2x, yours is 3X. (ok, this is not a reason)
2. They are original sprites for Super Mario War game and that game uses that 2X scale.
3. It was my first submission so I was a noob level 1 who ignored basic rules. (this is the point)
But is ok. I'll not discuss about it. I simply think we must set the good example.
@antiboton: It's weird because your first submission in PJ is oversized, both preview and detailed file…
Is it your life purpose to go to every piece that has a zoomed preview and tell them they should make it 1x?
Forgot to say I'd like this sort of pixel art as an alternative graphic scheme in the real game when it's out.
What's wrong with the preview being 'oversized'? Way I see it, it's meant to be a low res sprite so nice to see it looking low res in the preview where you cannot natively magnify it.
I don't like oversized preview but this is a good intro screen.
rly nice :D
