I like the angular, geometric shapes... almost gives it the look of a mosaic. The landscape is quite nice, too.
@Drascoll: Yeah, that's it. Sorry I'm not sure what the technical term is, but as you said, I couldn't unsee it.
@Pancaek : Could you expain this? What is a line shift? Oh, I think I got it. do you mean how the line on the cape on the right arm is not aligned? Now I cant not see that :o
@ everyone else: Thanks for all the nice complements. I guess I should add that I have a bit of an art backround and this piece was a second draft rework after feedback on the /r/pixelart subreddit. So I guess I am kinda strecting the truth when I say this is my first attempt. Still It's the first time I tryed to intentionally work with a limited palette and resolution.
I'm looking forward to receaving any critiques that could help me improve, and thankyou for your kind words.
I'm impressed by the amount of details and colors. If this was your very first serious attempt, then congratulations! You're doing a pretty impressive job.
Very awesome. I love the angular look of the cape, belt and sword. The only thing that seems out of place is the line "shift" on the shoulder that's closer to the camera. If the top half of the line was shifted one pixel to the left, then the left side and right side would both look smooth.
Wowed for a first pixel art that's pretty great!
