Thank you for the feedback! I went ahead and changed it to a small leaf, even got it to align with the square edge without moving anything else!
Cool design! The only thing that bothers me is the stem on the orange which I though was from a cut of letter before the "O". Of course that interpretation didn't last long but I think you may want to know this.
You could try to make the stem shorter or to add a leaf as Joseki mentioned. That would probably get rid of my misinterpretation and it would look less like a bomb ;)
Also where I live oranges are mostly sold without stem (or at least cut really really small) and most imagines with oranges that haven't had their stem removed (or cut small) have them mostly straight and to roughly 95% with at least one leaf. Althroug I can understand why you have it the way it is ("O" part aligned under "8" and stem edge on squere edge).
Also, also I really dig the (O)range font!

Oh gosh this is a fantastic logo! Reminds me a bit of vintage posters, with the lettering style.
I'm not sure if you have to worry about people misreading it as a bomb considering it's replacing the 'O' in 'orange'.
It's fine, that was intended to look like a stem but I can see how it looks like a bomb :0

It was an orange, not a bomb xD And you may be right, I'll consider minimizing the noise there or removing it altogether
Pretty solid design. I read 8 bit range at a first glance, but then the bomb and the orange color made sense :P
Maybe the dashed end of the underline adds to much noise... forgive me, designer's ramblings...
