Thanks :)
About the contrast is because the NES colors pallete that the producer of this game order me to use to create the graphics. There are also some restrictions to keep a retro style, such like 3 colors+black (alpha color is apart) per each sprite and each frame from the background.
And that's the result. It's the first time I use this pallete, also is the first time i do something with this restrictions. About the background, was done between me and another artist (Celia Fermoselle) and I tried to addapt all the stuff in the same style haha
Sure, I will upload the animations, but i will have to wait until the producer release the alpha demo that he is about to upload at the end of this month aprox.
Thanks for the advices, I will try to do my best in next works.
See ya :D
really good stuff once you get past the excessive amount of contrast (particularly in the background) :P love the fruit bebes.
EDIT: on second thought, the contrast prolly works in game because the sprites would move... either way this is very good. you should upload some sprite animations :)
Wow, that's great...
The sprites look like they're using the Amstrad CPC palette...
Thank you very much! it's a compliment for me coming from somebody like you. I mean, i love your 8-bits style work right from the moment I found your gallery.
Anyway, I will try to improve, is the first time I do something in NES style.
:D
Still think this stuff is the most outright fun and bold pixel work see on this site in a while.
As it relates to girls who pixel*...you are waaaaaay up there!
