This would look great as a game Like Snake except you explore a dungeon
This is awesome! Does it exist as a game somewhere? :O
lovely design, I like the left HUD with the minimap
Really nice looking, the dragon thing's head reads a little weird at this angle, but this whole thing looks so cool
Lovely as usual!
Only crit is that, since it's a game, I feel that the depth could be conveyed a bit better.
Orange walls don't seem to be any closer than the gray floors for example. Also that lava looks like it's in front instead of behind the floor, etc. See how the top door is much clearer than the walls around it? That sort of stuff.
Love the little braided snakes around the screen <3
Hahahaha, oh my god. I'd play the hell out of something like that.
That's pretty much the idea, we (mrmo is the artist, I'm the programmer) are planning on a Binding of Isaac-like randomly generated room based dungeon system. You are a snake that collects stuff in these rooms such as pellets and powerups and try to get to the end without killing yourself!
Is this a mockup for... an adventure version of Snake?
You know the saying of pulling money out of your ass?
Great work as ALWAYS Mrmo. This looks fantastic.
Do mockups come out every time you sneeze!? :D
Are you excellent or are you excellent? Answer: you are very f*cking excellent!
Lovely. Quarry sent me a teaser, but this so nice. I like how you break up the outline of the level. I think the greebles outside the doors help reinforce that they are something you can move through.
My only crit, is I'm not really feeling the lava, and I can't quite place why.
I was saddened to not find the green dragon in the actual piece. He is my favorite.
But, very good regardless!
Wow, my favourite pic from you so far. I like all these little irregularities in the background stones. The only thing is, the worm looks too much like background, so I would prefer the green version of the preview.
I think he means you use straight lines and 45 degree angles a lot. Which you do. Nice stuff btw. :)
Mrmo, I was seeing some of your work and realized that you use a kind of "perfect lines". Am i right?
Is not advice. Probably just my own personal tastes. Don't change anything on my account. :)
Thanks for the advice. I'll experiment with some different color combinations!
I like the pixel work but the colours are a bit dry (or maybe I'm just bored seeing that palette yet again) and the orange/gray look doesn't really do it for me especially when the colours are used together on the walls.
HRNNNGGG these are all so damned fine. I love your attention to detail - especially the Celtic knotwork with the snake.
