Technically speaking , the way monitors and screens are made up all 1:1 (45 degree lines) and the 2:1 lines are smooth and sharp. In pixelart these two lines are never AAd for this reason but some do AA a little bit on 2:1 lines. 1:1 lines are normally best left alone because they alway blur when you try anything with them.
Sometimes the best way to smooth them out is to divert the viewer's eye by blacing something distracting nearby. For example, in this case you could have placed the star sparkles overthat area just enough to fool the eye.
Ah I see what I did with the 45 degree lines. The AA only seems to thicken it. I think I'm gonna try to fix that up. I couldn't find a color that I could use as AA for the clouds though.
Is there any way to make the 45 degree angles look smooth by using AA?
Thanks a ton for informing me on the45 degree angles though!
45 degree lines should never be AAd.
Instead of using that faint blue to outline the clouds a darker shade to AA the clouds would have been smarter.
still, a good effort, kutgw.
That's pretty neat, I guess I'm gonna try to add little details like I did with the sparkling thing. I appreciate your feedback on this, I'm gonna try to revise this piece especially the clouds.
