You didn't make it visible enough though, I didn't see it until I compared with the original.
It's a contrast issue: there isn't almost any shading difference between vertical and horizontal surfaces (relatively to a light source), and the patterns (mostly bed, wall too) have too much contrast, they grab all the attention.
Clarify and simplify!
