oh i see. so the resizing matters a lot, eh? actually i'm newbie here in pixel art field, i admit that i still need to learn much. just uploaded new version. hope it's the right one :O
Main problem here is resizing. Never resize pixel art unless you know exactly what you're doing (nearest neighbor, integer factor). Don't need to anyway, PJ has a zoom feature.
And of course never ever save PA as jpeg ;)
no i dont use photoshop to make this, but it's true that i turned this into jpg first. maybe i should just go with png. thanks a lot for the comments! probably will upload the right version tonight :)
ps: @FlyGuy, I am 'she' :p
probably saved as jpeg..and then saved that as a png...thats my guess on the high color count..no human in their right mind would place that many colors in an image this small.
...even if he did use photoshop brushes (which it clearly doesnt look like) there still wouldnt be this many colors.
This has WAY too many colors; over 5,000 to be exact. Can you reupload a clean version of this?
Way better! Although 40 is still a big lot of colors for this, I can only make out 16.
Generally the piece needs more attention to individual pixel placement, many lines and details look somewhat random. You don't need to have the same degree of detail everywhere: the face should be the focus, but excessive contrast and 'noise' in the hair and hood are distracting. See this awesome tuto if you haven't already.
Also please link to the reference when using one, thanks ;)
