Thanks for the compliment!
By 'cutout' do you mean the colours don't blend into each other very much? I find that especially on the shield this is true. Maybe I should have introduced more colours.
I love the contrast but I kinda wish the values seemed less erm... "cutout" if that makes any sense. You've got a really nice sense of light though.
thanks guys!

I've taken some of your advice and added some AA around some of the parts I spotted after you pointed it out. And the way the cloak hangs and other things. I appreciate you pointing this stuff out.
@Manupix
Yeah. I think the shield is the worst off for that kind of thing. I left it because I wasn't too sure how go about it.
Overall nice but could definitely use some AA. There are just so many jaggies that stand out against the black bg.
i looooove the simplicity / practicality of the armour on this guy. Lighting is really impressive. My only complaint is the "cloak" feels like it hangs a bit square off his arms, and the belt buckle IS a bit too square, maybe darken those corner pixels a bit? Also, although i'm usually against AA, the sword/helm could really benefit from some against the black BG.
That metal is insane, but I crave for some detailing and texturing in there.
That, or the piece is too large if you'd rather keep it simple.
I've done another update, this time to the feet.
