Yes the standing thing isn't done yet. It's going to be animated too eventually.
Run animatin is very smoot. But I think you must add some color on his clothes. Different grey tones especially

The skinny legs and big feet remind of how Gunstar Heroes looks. B)
Your character looks much better running than in his standing position. I would recommend making his pose a bit more dynamic.
