Yeah, Chrome sucks for 2x enlarged, HTML5 games too... But I know what to do. Whenever I post animated pixels here, I'll make the preview the 1x size, and the main art in 2x, provided that the actual pic isn't larger than 100px (Which would, then, void the idea). Either that, or provide a link to the 2x pics (which keeps the aspect on both preview and enlarged pics, but reuqires the viewer to open another window...).
i know people get iffy about 2x pixels because there's a zoom function, but i use chrome (which isn't going to change), and chrome doesn't handle nearest neighbour interpolation AT ALL, so i really enjoy it when people post 2x art.
edit: In this case it DOES look alot better at 1x, however. Especially now that you fixed up that left hand side. =p
Unfortunately site haven't option that can zoom out already zoomed pictures. So if anyone want to see x1 version - he or she can't. You can write something like "best view at x2" in description.
The zoom button adds an wanted, ugly anti alias effect. I wanted people to see what he'll look on the game, which will have all anti alias done by hand, and purposefully pixely graphics.
yeh that's much better. The white highlights aren't hit pupils - they're highlights, and without highlights the eyes look dead and hollow.
Oh, hey, thanks for the input!
Edited the eye and the cropped pixels (Damn them cropped pixels).
The eye's "lifeless" problem had to do with the pupil too far to the right. I moved it a litle to the left. As for the saturation, well, it's kinda the point of his too big head and eyes. I tried reshading it a little with the lightest blue. though.
left column of pixels seems to have been cropped off? :( The animation for the ear is amazing. It could use a blink though. Also the eye seems a bit lifeless and overly saturated.
yeh that's a cool idea. It''s a shame google are too stupid to just let users change to nearest neighbour interpolation. There are some extensions that try to do it butthey all suck.
