Very very good character sprite.  It looks like a pokémon NPC.

 OK so you can't lower the legs per se, but  you could make the shirt end higher and show more of the pants, which might help give the look of longer legs. It also looks like she's leaning forward, which would have an effect of forshortening on the waist/legs, but that isn't very obvious as is. Maybe the shorts need more shading to show that her torso is leaning forward.

Ah right. Well I personally think you should keep the shorts in any case. : ) I only meant a change would help for that particular issue.

And yes, her right.

 Will do on the chest (and I'll see what I can do with the arm. Her right?) Like I said I have some more animations to work on and post, so I'll update this one as I do those.

She doesn't seem like the type to wear a skirt out of choice, heh. (Plus I pretty directly referenced from her outfit in the link.) It's not my own character so I only get so much artistic liscence.

I'll see what I can do about the torso, though as-is my canvas size is a bit limited so the legs might have to stay the length they are.

It kind of feels like her right arm's movement isn't synchronized with the rest of her body. Something is strange about it anyway.

I don't think she lacks that much of femininity (though I could agree that a skirt would remove any doubt). But what I personally would do, would to move that chest shadow up by one pixel. Now it kind of looks more like a muscular chest of a man.

Oh and still, great work. I like it!

 i thought it was a male. It really really looks like male. I only now realise that "she" has polytails. they're lost in the armour and it just looks like a short haircut. Also shorts.... maybe try a skirt? Also the proportions are masculine, the torso should be shprter, legs longer. Arms look vquite muscular too.

When I drew it that way I wanted to give the impression she's not a trained fighter. (She's also an anime girl, for what it's worth.)

There's the possibility that it'll make her attack animations hard to do, but if that happens it should be a pretty simple fix.

 They are probably mind-readers for the arms actions..that is my guess.
