Thanks both, yes, I entirely agree with your comments but haven't had time to do the image the justice it deserves, just had to get a Borg ship in an isomtric spaceship challange! The circuit board reference is an excellent idea by the way.
I liked it. Although I think people are doing original ships, this one made me lol, in a good way :D

Yep. Noisy alright.
While I like the idea, I feel it could be better executed. The texturing on the cube is messy and I'd rather see it lookinging neat and have an understandable construct. As is it feels like you just drew lines. The fluro green blob of noise is also a concern. I actually don't know what it's meant to be (as I don't get the reference) but it just looks lke noise. I think you should look at some circuit boards and use them as a texture reference.
A quick look at the example reference and I noticed the fact it's made of square plates. You could focus on this fact my making more ice squares/cubes as the texture and have them lit by the green lights rather than those green lights just be a splatter of noise. It's honestly not a ship I'd think would work too well with such a small canvas as it doesn't have defined edges either. As I said with the curcuit board idea though, there is nothing wrong with taking something that exists and changing it into something new. It might not be a 'borg ship' but itwould be more appealing in pixel form.
