Alright, I will edit some shading and add some more definition tomorow, im off to sleep now.
I did recently watch a youtube speedpaint run which helped me understand shading a little deeper, I hav'nt had a chance to apply that yet, because im doing some nature - architecture pixeling atm, so to focus more on the 'little things'.
Thanks for the feedback and advice.
Not a bad attempt but a few things that need fixing. Contrast -good to see you understand hue shifting bu some brightness contrast is needed. Banding - get rid of the banding, it's really letting down this piece. Shading - Think of the form and what aspects extrude and catch light. The brows for example extrude above the eyes and should be lit brighter with a dark crevice between them. Muscle - give this poor dragon's legs some muscle.
Fine.. I'll move it to a bigger canvas, im just worried the wing is going to be too dark, if that happens im gonna keep it as is.
Edit: Done! I accidentaly edited and saved the wrong file, so I had to adjust the colors again. Looks even better now.
I was actually about to go play a game, but then the servers went offline, so I decided to doodle something small while I wait. I guess I could have moved it to a bigger canvas.
I made some minor alterations to the shading, like the eye brow light, wing and abdominal muscles / plates. I tried adding some leg muscles but it didn't turn out that well.
