Yep, I have no idea what to do with grass every time I have to draw it! So thanks for the advice. I like the banding, it fits with the rest of the no shading image. It's simple but I like it. I drew this because of a baby tortoise we found in the street and took in. ( a skillpad, in my language) I am working on my shading and such, but not on this picture.

It would be nice if you could post or pm an example of how you would do the grass though, if not, its all good. GN.

Edit: Because I'd like to have better looking grass in this!

Interesting palette, but you might wanna add a little bit more texture to the grass and fix that banding on the turtle's shell. For the blades of grass, you don't need to use bold, black colors. A good thing to try would be to use just one or two colors very close to the ground color for the grass.
