It's quite a bit more readable.
Though, I wonder if outlines would help?

I think try with large areas of solid color just like the rest of the creature. It shouldn't be too hard.

 It's a scroll, haven't figured out how to make it less noisy yet and still resemble a scroll.  Thanks for the suggestion.

I like it, though the hay or bag or whatever could be better defined and less noisy.
