Sweet, reminds me of the good old adventure games on DOS.
Yeah, TombReaper hit the nail on the head. I'm going for a simple asthetic with bright, pretty colors to contrast the visceral nature of the game in an almost toungue and cheek way. I'm hoping it'll look/feel pretty cool if I can pull it off right! 
Yeah, I guess that this is the case.... It's not any less good for its simplicity, what I said is just personal taste =)
Maybe he's approaching a simple style like Another. I for one really like this.
It would be great if these sprites were more detailed, but I totally agree with them about the animations! Congrats!
