Nova 5 is an old robot character of mine that I never really used for anything, even though I should. She's a cute robot girl with a zany robot arm!
I started this originally with an 8 bit palette, but I eventually switched it over to EGA and finished it up. I really, really love EGA art, and I enjoy working in the palette a lot. I tried to get her skin to look metallic, but it's difficult to do. I think I did okay, but it doesn't look quite as shiny and metal-y as I had hoped.

Otherwise, I'm impressed. very good use of the EGA palette.
There is another EGA palette, you know.. it comprises 64 colors (any 16 colors of those 64 usable onscreen). it looks like this
and was available on EGA video cards with 256k of memory (average EGA cards had only 64k). It's slightly easier to use than the 16color palette.
