That was a fun challenge. I should do time restricted challenges more often, I think they help me more to improve than no time restraint stuff.
Didn't plan to participate, but after I saw a rocket launch in this music-video, I had to try it and do it in DuskTaker's palette.
I have choosen a dark color to make the fire from the rocket pop more, but that has limited what I can do in it.
First I wanted to add some "space-invaders" and while that looked good, it felt horrible unoriginal. If it weren't for the challenge I probably would have done that.
After intense fiddeling I went for the stars plus clouds plus the word "space", which is probably too much, but I... welp, there aren't any excuses
The clouds and smoke suggest a daylight setting while the stars suggest otherwise .
And I also added some random birds that aren't black bacause black birds are too mainstream
I plan to work on it, with the background in focus, sometime in the distant future - so all comments, ideas for improvement and critiques are welcomed (even more than normally)!
The rocket launch from the video was my ref, here is a screenshot.
I don't know much about the musican but I find that particular song quite good.
Edit: I forgot one color
Edit2: changed .png to .gif for correct color
Edit3: changed every color by hand because they still where slightly off . |
Danke, das war auch der Part, der mir am meisten Spaß gemacht hat.
