It does look a little floaty to me. Once you really study animation, you realize what gives everything its weight. Weight is one of the most important things in animation :) Considering youre new though, thats quite impressive! good job :P
Pretty good, though, and it might just be me, but the swirls appear to move separately from the body
I like the style, but I don't think his back end has enough movement. Here's a great refrence for a lot o 4 frame animal walking cycles.
