Thanks ADM, I must admit I struggled with the non-iso tentacles, I'm not happy with them at all, I need to pick up some tips from how others ahve dealt with this topic.

Thanks Munaun, unfortunately I didn't have time to finish the shadows but I'm hoping to make up some time before the deadline and get a bit more of the image done.

That was a wonderful idea.

Unfortunately non-isometric tentacle has no shadow. It ruines this piece. Looks like purple tentacle was taken from a different pic (though I know it was not). 

Good idea! I would just say that the lighting on the tentacles seems a bit finicky. Other than that, I'm putting my money on the non-isometric tentacles.
