After I finished up the treasure chest design in my previous submission, I shrank it down to see if I could produce a workable 16x16-based design from the results of that resizing. It took a while, but I managed it by changing around a few colors and changing the shape of the top of the closed chest.

About two hours, 40 colors (39 + transparency), personal palette, original design inspiration via a treasure chest design from a mockup made for the Open Pixel Platformer (viewable at http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=16385&PID=174346#174346). Because I designed these with a 16x16 canvas in mind, opened chests have dimensions of 14x7 and closed chests have dimensions of 16x14.

I welcome (and encourage) comments and criticism. Feel free to use this in whatever way you wish without limitation.

(EDIT: Missed the brown color in a couple of chests; fixed that and eliminated a whole color from the image to boot.)
