Nice.  You should make the lines on the inside of the plane lighter then black, but darker then the fill, ya know what I mean.  I love the line art though!  I may have to color one myself one day.  :)

Please, don't just rename bmp images to gif. If you're using mspaint atleast save as png. That won't distort your pixel images.

Yeah I think you were supposed to make the background color transparent, I don't think anyone's gonna get mad at you or anything though...  Anyways the jets look great, I love the lineart, but they look really flat and 2-dimensional.  Pick a light source and use some shading to make the body more round.
