I love the colors! Very comfortable, visually. I like the composition as a whole. The water movement will be a great addition, surely. What is strange for me is the roughness of the sprites compared to the tiles. Also, I'm not sure if the green tiles represent grass, but they look more like lots of overlaying bushes or "crawling herbs" (I don't know what's the right term), maybe because the leaves are huge if you think about proportions. In this case, I think that the "traditional" approach would be better (much like in your last piece, even if you didn't do it all in pixel art). If you really wanted to represent shrubs or something, I think that you could add contrast to the plants so that some leaves would stand out more and gain depth.
