The head is rendered really well but as you said some of the other places could use a bit more refinement. Nice peice.
Super cool! Somehow reminds me of old Magic cards ilustrations

lol i like this a lot..the terrain detail is wonderful.. i dont like the patterns on the snakes lower portion though. seems a bit messy in comparison to the rest of the piece.. still looks awesome though... also maybe lighten the colors in the portion of the snake that is furthest away.. -- you've got wonderful depth here, but the snake feels like hes just sitting 100% on the front layer of the image because of the contrast
great pic anyway.
Haha, I got so distracted with the dragon/snake that I paid little attention to the ground.
Err.. I always make this mistake; I try to make objects less noticeable by adding little to no detail to them, but it never seems to really work, got too used to it I guess. :P
And thanks.

Decided to fix some of the problems you mentioned and some more things, thank you for the criticism.
The earth texture and terrain is superb! Not a huge fan of the stray pixels in them- in and around the crack on the right side (there's one tan pixel in the crack, and three or so brown individual pixels to the right of the crack that are a tad distracting).
The blue collar is also, very well done. It adds a little contrast to a mostly yellow/brown oriented piece. It catches the eye, and puts focus on the most interesting part (the head) :D
The midground mountain on the far right side looks like it is still a wip. It doesn't have the detail and precision of the rock-hill on the left side.
Other than those few small things, good job!
wow thats pretty sweet
