That's a great model. I can see some similarities in the head and the snake like body but it does have it's differences.
It looks like in the model it's on a branch. For some reason I picture this creature being only maybe 9-12 inches in length. A tiny winged snake-like creature.
It does have similarities, which is interesting, as the avatar only shows part of the head. The body is actually also snakelike but I made it more segmented and it's got blade like wings instead of arms.

thanks, I added the outline as somewhat of an afterthought, after I read the submission rules, where it said that should contain a background or be transparent. I chickened a bit with the outline because I wasn't sure how it would look against a background that I couldn't define.
Next time I'll simply add my own background 
Awesome colour placement. The black outline feels a bit too heavy imho.
