 your'e right, I took the background from one of the NES games(Batman Returns). This is still a work in progress, later I will add details to the character and change the background 

Strange.  The guy is very flat and simplistic but the background actually shows some good detail, use of lighting and  hue shifting like something right out of a gritty NES game.
