He has to keep gathering coins, so that at each checkpoint fuel station he has enough money to purchase enough jetpack fuel to make it to to the next checkpoint.

What you've done in the jet stream... Putting two clusters of pixels of the exact same length right next to each other is banding. And you've done the worst form of it, staircase banding all down the stream and next to the jetpack. It just looks poor and nasty. Something to avoid doing at all costs.
