Made a few tiny edits, but I didn't end up adding the horizon line -- call me lazy, but everything I tried ended up looking out of place. Thanks for the suggestion though! I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I try something like this.
@MyO: Thanks!
@DawnBringer: That means a lot coming from the creator of the palette. :) Interesting idea for the sky! Here's a quick and messy color-swap I made: http://i.imgur.com/GrdZ8Fm.png Without doing any refining, the red definitely matches better with the other colors in hue, but it also looks a little too light. It might blend together better if I used a mix of the red and brown, or some other combination; but I think I'll just leave it as is, or else I'll end up nitpicking it to death. :P
Nice to see the '32 put to good use :)
Hm, perhaps the bright-red would work a little better for the sky (between purple & orange) than the brown?
Thanks a lot, everyone. :)
@MikauKahn/FreshSheet: Good point about the horizon line. I'll fiddle around with it, though I'm not sure how well it'll turn out -- getting anything I do with the background to work has been a nuisance. . . .
Good work with the colors, DB32 palete is very good, and you used it very good too!
I agree with FreshSheet, a horizon line would be fantastic.
Also, I love how all of your "references" are PJ submissions.
I like the piece, but the placement of the sun is very bothersome, mostly because there is no horizon. The sun should not be that low without showing some sort of horizon line IMO.
SO beautiful <3
