 Thank you for the advice!  I thought the head looked a little awkward because it was completely still.  It's clear I'm still not sure how to make those kinds of subtle changes with such a small number of pixels and space to work with.  Still going to mess around with it for sure.  Once I add in hair it may also help.

 It needs more movement in head and shoulders and the head is not completly isometric, keep practicing
