Nice, but there is a strongly conflicting volume information: highlights make the chambers look bulgy, bullet shaped; so do the column bases. How do they join? Outlines may increase the problem too.
The wall top needs some texture or shade or pipes or something.
The liquid is supposed to be flowing out at the bottom, it's the brighter yellow/green color that you see.
I also did already think of what you said and tried to soften up the green swirls, the brightest green is missing from most of the broken one. I guess I need to be a bit more extreme about it, though.
The broken one is giving me trouble. Maybe try to show the liquid flowing out, and have the glass actually be transparent rather than still having the green colors on it. The breach looks good, it just looks like it's layered on.
I'm not sure, but I love these. I'm totally diggin' the swirls of green.
