A run animation crafted for a failed project.
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought this was definitely Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet. Must be the red bob. :x
It's so... believable! God damn, this website is filled with so much talent I'm running out of kind words!
I think it's great thou I would have added one more frame or two. But excellent work.
I have done before, i mean in terms of number of frames when it comes to limb cross over, and the timing of poses, not so much the actual anatomy/motion of the limbs. There's a huge difference between real life and crunching that motion down to a sprite size.
@Stickman: That's probably true. But I was afraid of overextending her legs, because her feet are planting and pushing at a very specific interval. So if I extend the distance of her foot by product of extending her leg, then her feet would cease to sync with the speed she's meant to be travelling.
@Connor: Oh no, don't do that! I tried to make the motion as realistic as possible. So I used a lot of real life references. You should observe from real life if you want similar results
One of the best run cycles I have seen here.
What a fantastic run cycle!
This is my reference for the next running animation i make 0_O
The arms and torso movement is beautiful!
Really lovely and smooth (though I reckon that the legs could stretch out a little more)
Nice and smooth.
