I was actually suggesting cobblestones, I had no idea they were supposed to be there already ;)
I didn't find a suitable example, but I'm sure you could make them obvious with a different dither-texture pattern. Possibly just 2x1 clusters here and there. The problem with classic checkerboard dithering is it's perceived as harsh flat planes cutting through the intended perspective. It's got to be broken so these planes disappear, there are lots of ways to do this and all involve sloooow pixel by pixel work.
About composition, I think the moon might be too close to the tower, it kind of encloses the focus of the design in a small cramped central space.
I particularly like the pinnacle on the left and the base of the tower. too much dithering maybe.
I find this awesome . It has a kinda Tim Burton feel to it that Love.
Yeah, I am quite unsure about dithering of tower. I was thinking about remaking the dithering to some tiles or something, so the tower will be consistent with clouds style. But cobblestones stay, I like them :)
Nicely done, but dithering and isolated pixels kill it a little. Try some texturing instead (cobblestones?).
Great shading.
I thought we are talking about what I drew on the darkest area on tower. I am not native english so it was a bit misunderstanding. Thanks for effort, but as I have written above, I got lazy and decided not to work on the picture anymore. Idea of doing everything again makes me nauseous. Still good to know, will use the information in next picture for sure. I learned a lot from drawing this one.
