Well, you re right. The way I was thinking about it was : she is tired, just dropped on her knees after running after something. The bees are buzzing around bored cause they have nothing to do. The energy discharge between her tail and head is illuminating the bees, kind of like fireflies in the night. 

Ah, I thought it is supposed to be some energy. The spriggan bees on the video are much more lively, here they lack that hive-like feel.

 Yea, I definatelly took the TES spriggan's bee-like things as a reference for those. I don't know how could I show this.

I quite like the sprite itself, but those light points around look a bit like bees to me.
