@ iLKke - I think dynamic smoke generation is doable at runtime by writing code to chain multiple animations together. Would be tough creating animations to work together like that, but I think a satisfactory result is possible. So I guess they'd be point sprites rendering artist drawn frames . . . but link together in a special way.
You're one creative bloke. The ideas you come up with for stylized shapes and textural patterns are always interesting to look at.
While I was making it I was thinking "NO WAY can this be reproduced in-game"... maybe ramps would have custom dust/smoke animation when you drive over them? :D
Very nice!
If you find a coder who can pull off smoke particles like that, let me know :D
This is super nice and I really like the overall piece. I have to disagree with Gecimen, I think the detailed ground and minimalistic background create a nice contrast. Also this way you really focus on the action in the middle.
Also loving the panicking vulture.
The background is a bit too plain, tiny clouds and tiny mountains didn't help either. Other elements are really good but the ground texture is just amazing.
You tend to get good at tiles when all you ever do is tiles :D :D
ohhh! I really like how you did that dust and a car and... tiles on the ground! I wish I could do tiles so good as you! Tell me the secret :D
Is there any theme or challenge you can't ace? :P Amazing and more so with every suggestion that was added C:
dithering on the top looks out of place imo.
I like the car most of all.
It now includes a vulture... I approve!! Seriously great work, and I like how you took suggestions so fast. This is definitely up there in the group of ones I'm deciding between for voting.
I'm not gonna lie, I was expecting more tiles, perfect!!
Love the colours!
