Ohhhh I love all three sets of colours, they really compliment each other c: maybe my favourite would be blue.

 I thought it was a wizard staff.

 I'd recommend doing the hand and ball a different color, but still playing around with lightning. that'd give you a more interesting effect and a better learning experience.

 Yes, the hand is a tad hard to read, but that's most likely a result of it being the same color as the ball, an its tiny size. 

 It's slightly hard to tell that there is a hand there but the nice colors make up for that I think.
