The shading and texturing on the grass and cobblestone is amazing. I am absolute crap at texturing despite futile attempts to practice.
Overall I think this is fantastic! I would love to see some dirt texture on the sides of the grass blocks. Those trees look great, but I would give them more contrast against the grass... the greens are pretty close.
The stone walls are my favorite part, great use of purple in the shadows.
Nice tileset and color palette man, this seems so profesional looking!
Wow, this is really something! I would love to explore a game full of this caliber of low res pixel gfx.
Very charming. Wise use of texture/dither where it makes the right impact.
And I didn't notice it at first, but Manu has a great point. I think the soution is quite simple - luminosity. Simply make different contrast each other more. Deeper shadow. Also, don't forget the benefits of using warm and cold tones to differentiate levels of depth.
@Manupix do you have any examples of this done well? I struggle with this as well
Very nice, but volumes are not readable enough. Probably because of shading: there's no general difference in brightness between horizontal and vertical planes.
This is gorgeous.
I dont know forsure, but it seems like one of the grass tile types has a bit off colored pallete ( 3 tiles surrounding the top tree) is this intended? Also I feel like you could improve the trunk of the tree somewhat, the bottom left feels a little out of place.
Good work
I like this style. the stone palette is so cool.
good work...
this tiles are floating in a black BK? or you have a background for this?.
Palette and all super cool. Keep on good work
