A ref link or description would be called for because in a pixel site, pixels get evaluated and how is anyone sopposed to know Bart has a white nose ring. I take it back.
Thanks for the heads up, Jalonso. I'm not sure I agree, though, since I was aware of every pixel that was placed. In my own portrait I'm assuming you are referring to the extra brown pixels above the headphones. In the photo it's based on, my hair spikes above them and without those extra dots it looks like my hair is just a clump. The dots aren't leftover, they were for texturing. The same goes for this piece - my friend's hair is slightly fuzzy and in the photo you can see little fuzzies coming off - without the breakup his head looked perfectly smooth, which is not the truth of the picture. He also has a white nose ring and a white earring. I'm sorry you feel it weakens the piece and I understand why, but just know that these were choices and not a mistake. I'm sorry that it made you jump to the conclusion that I don't look at my work and I'll try to make my choices seem more deliberate in the future.
Thanks for the review!
When pixelling you should zoom in when you think you're all done and clean up after yourself. Here you've leftsome white strays and some light flesh tones around the hairline are not well placed. You did this on your portrait too. This is considered very bad form and technically weakens the overall piece.
Rememberthat when pixelling you are working on the pixel level so pixel placement is important.
Sorry, I'm new here. I'll do that in the future!
Your stuff is awesome, btw.
