In our excursion to Planet Pyxl, we found many unique and interesting items. This piece, however, is unlike anything else. Upon initial inspection, we believed this to be some sort of living organism, however on closer inspection we've found that this is actually a machine, built by the inhabitants of the planet.

     It is made of completely organic materials, but inside is a strange system of living cogs and wheels all of which are in a constant state of movement. The Machine seems to be constantly moving, very similar to the beating of a heart. after a couple of pumps, the electrical discharge lights up the tentacles before returning to the core. It appears to have been created as a source of energy, though the true purpose of the machine is still unknown.

This is my first time animating pixel art, and my most detailed piece yet, also I worked hard to use a small palette and get as much texture as possible with only 6 colors (7 if you count transparency).

I spent quite a bit of time on it. I may continue to refine the beating animation, as there's still a couple odd spots that im not 100% pleased with.
