Based on the Lucasarts 1993 SNES action videogame, i bring to you this exhausting but proud piece of pixel art. ¡Zeke and Julie are back into the neighborhood!

P.s: Open in other window to enlarge ;) sorry for that.

I think the color count is much higher than it should be as no color and palette control is evident. The high color count is mostly from the semi-trans layer with the smoke but in this case as all art in the gallery are taken on their own was deemed ok for the gallery because the distinction here is that those bits 'can' be maunally pixelled and the skill is displayed in the piece/gallery so we now overlook this more than we ever have before.
This is also true in cocefi's latest piece, just added, where technically its the same case as this is.
We will still send back any semi-trans or and CGd bit where its something that cannot be manually created. Also, sent back would be a pixel such as this but where the 'abuse' is all over instead of what constitutes a minor detail in a piece. Again, this is on a case by case basis and subject to interpretaion of the Mod evaluating the piece when submitted...Art is subjective ;)

The color count wasnt what originally made me think it is NPA.

The smoke most definitely used partial transparncy on layers.

This most certainly is pixel art. Color count in this situation doesn't raise any suspicion. -- Not the greatest use of colors, but that probably wasn't what he was going for. I think this looks good! I don't always agree with limited color counts.
