Allow me to offer some critique :) I see this around a lot cause of your posts so I've had some time to look it over.
First and obviously-the sleeves are still there from the original you edited! aaaaaah skin flaps!
Ok, the cycle-while mostly good and fluid, the torso animation is too intense. Generally the head will rotate slightly less than the torso, because the character will be still looking forward. On top of this, the arms are a bit too stiff and might need to swing around a bit more-generally they won't follow the same path up that they did going down, have them hang a little looser on the way down compared to up. All together, this is giving the impression that the upper body is completely rigid and only twisting at the waist, with the arms barely moving up and down, rotating with the torso, like an action figure might do.
Additionally, the legs are slightly slidey-stare at it too long and he looks like he is walking backwards. Not 100% sure on why without taking the frames apart, but I think maybe you need an extra frame with the leg coming forward, to make the arc more clear.
Beyond this, you could also consider varying the frame timings-holding the frames very slightly longer at each extreme end of the leg extension (where the character bobs upwards) can give it a more dynamic feel than having them all equal.
Sorry for the wordy critique, you're well on your way already so I gotta get into the details :)
thanks a lot man. :D
I'll try. the run cycle I was learned by just practicing drawing platform characters like this one.
punches, kicks, jumps, slides, and another platform animations are easly for me, but walk cycle, the walk cycle .
If you're having trouble getting the hang of a "movement", you can always film yourself and study the way you do these movements :)
(Basic) walk cycles are quite easy once you split up the different engaged poses (Contact/Recoil/Passing/High-Point)*2, one for each leg.
P.S.: I liked the one with the flashlight better :D but I really like the way his back switches from right to left and viceversa on this one.
yep, I see it so brighty. I'll try to get the skin shades more contrasted and darky.
thanks.
@ADrawingMan
- I know how to do run animation cycles but, the walk cycles it are a bit hard to me, and I don't know why xD.
You've been working out haven't you :P?
But seriously... your run/walk animations are always great!
la animacion es buena pero creo que deberias intentar con otra paleta de colores con un poco mas de contraste
thanks for the critique, every time are welcome.
really, I'm thinking it looks a bit like an action figure. because the chest is just twisting.
I'll check your observations carefuly, thanks a lot.
I'll improve my run animations.
