OH MAN! I'm in the same boat as Alex, I only relised this was for the challenge now, when voting.
The first time I saw this I didn't even realize it was for the challenge
Not bad, except... Just the mouth, nostril and the part above the eye are animated, and everything else is non-animated, including the eye (the creature isn't even blinking), and the animation itself looks unnatural; instead of what I assume is a growling animation, it looks like the piece itself is going through image manipulation, save for the drool which seems animated normally. You might wanna work on that so the animation looks natural 
The charakter is great. You should consider that muscles and teeth + bones are 2 separate parts of the body. When animating the mouth the teeth should stay in the position they are.

Still one of the latest 5 pieces submitted to the gallery, and almost in the weekly showcase already. Great use of colours and texture. I personally am not too thrilled about the animation, I think a smaller tremble would have been cooler.
Looks good. The face is a bit over-animated in comparison to the static body, though. It seems his whole structure should be shaking.
Awesome! Reminds me a lot of a Super Nes game called E.V.O.
I think the front leg elongation is a little too unnatural, but still great pixelling!
