For your knowledge the sprite of yours is build on the Gomez animation which means that it's almost ripped.
If you use art as a reference you usually change something but not use pixel to pixel animation. I'd highly recommend to change something in the sprite so your game project won't receive comments that you've ripped someone's art. You can change the face animation according to comments and your sprite will be more 'you' and that will be really good! :)

Yeah I'm pretty new to pixel art animations so I used a Gomez spritesheet as a reference.

Instantly saw Gomez as well... Also, as skeddles already pointed out, you might want to hold the eyes and mouth in one place. I know you said he's supposed to be derpy, but it just might make more sense to do just the eyes instead of the eyes and the mouth. Right now it's sort of distracting and doesn't look intentional.
