The animation for the blood/"ink"/"ink" creatures looks stellar. I think the lack of a proper reaction from the shooter to the "ink" hurts the overall animation, though I can't know if you intended the shooter to have no reaction as a purposeful part of the story. Everything else looks great, however, and I applaud you for your efforts! 
It's not a sci-fi element :] But I can't divulge anything else unfortunately.

Not sure if I approve of the sci fi element to the game (I'm dubious). The scene is pretty sweet though.
