Thank you.
So...it's just doing what has to be used to suggest tiny details/differences inside a sprite anyway, animated? It's a misleading name for it. Thank you for the link, though!
I like how interconnected the various lines and shapes are, especially around their legs, but they're distinct enough to belong to each object. The smoke coming out the ear is really cool.
This is a good explanation of subpixel animating with lots of examples halfway down the page. It's basically moving the colors in and around a sprite to give the look of a subtle movement rather than moving entire pieces of a sprite.
I'd like to note again this isn't my concept! This character belongs to an artist whose art blog I've linked in the description.
To be honest I don't have the slightest idea what subpixel means.
Better would be some animation too of the characters. Very sligh subpixel or something. They just look too static compared to the active background atm.
awesome details on the fur! and the animated BG's fine with me tho. either way, great job!!
I liked the animated background actually.
And nice artwork! I like strange concepts. :D
So... it's a café inside a giant wolf's skull? Have you been eating "special brownies"?
Seriously though, great job. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the floor.
It's just called 'subpixel' because you're suggesting movement of less than a pixel's area. I think the term is appropriate.
As far as your piece goes, very nice job! I like the color choices and differences for the background and foreground. I also like the scrolling BG a lot.
