Beautiful! I wish the colors were just slightly more vibrant, I feel that it would bring out the 3d effect more.
I imagine it's like a banana on the inside?
Good job on the shapes -- it's a tough angle to construct.
Colors are far from lame, but the palette as a whole might be better integrated with some hue-shifting, so as to link the green and yellow ramps.
Shading is globally good (obvious light source), but locally tends to pillow-shading (nested ovals).
Pixeling is good but why o why the ugly useless dithering?
