I don't know how are the futuristic swords... but those are great examples.   I like it.

I think it are a bit pillow shaded, maybe because they was mirrored horizontaly. you need to check the right side of the swords. there may not get light pixels if the lightsource comes from upper left.
and... I do not like the black/white outlines, I think they get my PArts out of focus. but its just my opinion.
