I love everything about it, but the colors and reflections inside the glass walls are crazy good.
Reminds me of some sort of mage trapping an island in a bottle, or a god observing the world threw a magic bottle.
Haha, don't sweat it ;P
Yeah, I tried to use the blue as much as possible but as you can see the two challenge colors aren't really dominant in this piece which is sort of a bad thing seeing as how the challenge was to incorporate those as main colors.
Thanks though! It's always awesome to see a comment from you!
Totally missed it... shame on me.
Terrific job on the glass! It's incredible how you used that highly saturated blue as a shadow colour. Awesome dithering too..
Great piece!
Thanks! You did a top notch job with your piece too!
@Mr.Fahrenheit
Thanks dood!
Wow, you're improving so fast man. Congratulations on first place, well deserved!!
Thank you very, very, very much! That's a wonderful thing to hear! I think you've given me a lot of motivation! Thanks man!
Wow, you certainly are improving! Your last few pieces have been really aethetically pleasing. But aesthetics aren't the only thing in a piece- creativiy, perspective, and experimentation should all be taken into account. I'm also glad you're doing weeklies- keep at it and good luck. You got potential, kid ;)
Looks great! Reminds me of Pel's piece with the jar hah.
That's wierd, the bottle is actually symmetrical, I think that it may be the light that's making the left side look rounder. I'll fiddle around with the smoke and if I can't make it look nicer I'll maybe just remove it. That's a really strange problem with the bottle looking uneven though.
Thanks for the feedback though, extremely valuable!
The other version is better. The shape of the bottle doesn't look symmetrical. (Intended?) Also not sure how I like the smoke coming out of the top. Either remove it or give it some more space to breathe, IMO.
With that said, this is very nice. Good idea, and good execution. Tremendous improvements.
thanks man
