you have alot of old abandoned projects eh lol id love to see a full completed RPG game with your beautiful art style!!
It's funny how I almost always can recognize it's your work from the preview.
Neat! I understand now. I hope to see more stuff from this project!
That made me wonder. Obviously not natively russian but way too good for google.=)
Удачи!=)
I'm learning Russian at this site: http://www.cursorusso.com.br/
_Connor, all PA techniques have their place and SelOut is no different. Genrerally speaking one uses SelOut whenever an asset is to be used with a trans BG but where AA would not work. Say this tree is an asset for game and would be used in a jungle (dark) and winter (light) with maybe a palette change. Then SelOut would be a better seam with extreme BG changes.
The most effective use of SelOut because of its simplicity is any Pokemon game.
Loving it! As usual your work is great.
@CELS : haha you made me laught!
@_Connor : totally agree with the idea of adding some frogs on that amazing tree!
You should make a tutorial blog. You're beyond everyone else's skills.
I googled "selout" and the only relevant info i found was this : http://wayofthepixel.net/index.php?topic=7900.0
And from what i gather, "I hereby declare that in my mind, selout is a redundant term for redundant antialiasing." Is the most appropriate description of it.
Surely transparency doesn't constitute "selout". I'm sure the intended background is darker than the PJ default.
ANYWAY. This needs those chirping frogs from LoZ:OOT, sitting on each pedestal. =p
Lovely as usual. You've textured the piece really well, although I'm not a fan of the selout on the tree platforms.
Obviously a fool piece from the preview
Interesting concept for a tree--I can imagine the platforms having functionality in a game, was this for a project or just an individual piece?
Edit: just read the description, lol.
Hello Fool, would it be asking too much if I wanted to know how long, more or less, did it took you to make this piece?
It would be really cool to this something like this in the real world. It would be fun to climb I'd imagine.
