Nice one, I really appreciate as a french amstradist...
Brink : you should come to our Amstrad forums... tu es le bienvenu.
PS : i would have used orange for the door and the "earth" instead of pink...
You're welcome. I only found out how to transfer files to my CPC last week and it involves a car stereo mp3 adaptor, my android phone and the Java CPC emulator for PC. :P Is awesome being able to get retro-style art actually onto the systems it aims to simulate. :)
Hmm, it looks like this rather lame pun could've been better executed. I guess that's what you get from not devouring enough red wine, cheese and baguettes. Désolé, Manupix et tous les gens français! Je ne me pardonnerai jamais! À partir d'aujourd'hui, je vais manger seulement des baguettes et des fromages et boire du vin rouge! I will also look into those things Manupix mentioned and see what I can fix in an updated version ;)
Had to do it. Colours look a bit washed but only cos of the camera trying to capture CRT monitor. In real life the colours are very bold and vibrant as they should be. :) Hadn't loaded an overscan image onto my CPC before but luckily DevilMarkus at cpcwiki.eu had already informed me of the commands to do so (very different to regular size image).

Hope you don't mind. Just thought it would look cool on the real machine. And it does. :)
Ouiiiiiiii!
I got the cheese tree but not the 3 things below the window.
Also it's a serious crime to have fromage+baguette but no vin
It's supposed to be cheese, like the one on the ground. Guess I messed up making that clear :/ I think I'll have to go back and try to fix that and some other things. 'Cause you're right, drain pipes are usually closer to the wall. And I realized the tree looks a little bit off balance as of now, so I'm gonna tweak the tree trunk as well.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the fast feedback! :D
Is that gold in the tree?
The pipe thing that connects to the barrel should be pushed in, it looks a bit funny to me, more like a chimney growing out of the barrel instead of a pipe connecting to the guttur.
Nice piece though, I really love the house.
Really nice work and a good choice of colours from the palette.
